Project Description
In the heart of downtown Austin, we installed the HVAC and Plumbing for a combination District Cooling Plant and Parking Structure. The original installation included a 1,900 ton glycol chiller (equal to a 5,000 ton chilled water chiller) to make ice in a 1,000,000 gallon storage tank. The installation included 112 ice-making coils stacked 42 feet high, 3-800 hp pumps and 4 – 500 hp pumps with 36″ diameter pipe headers. Additionally, we performed additional pump, cooling tower and piping installations for the remaining phases of the project.
